Most frequently asked questions

Do you offer a fitting service?

We currently only offer a fitting service for orders placed in store. If this is a service you require you’re more than welcome to pop into our store.

Please note: We only offer this service in Portsmouth, Hampshire and surrounding areas.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Unfortunately we do not deliver on weekends.

Do you offer a click and collect service?

Yes, please select this option at checkout – once you’re order is ready, we will contact you to let you know you that your order is ready to be collected.

Collection is from our store: Direct Carpet Centre, 22-30 Fratton Road, Portsmouth, PO1 5BX.

Can I get a sample of the product before purchasing?

Yes, we offer a free sample service for all our carpets and vinyls. Look for the free sample button on the product page. You can get up to 4 free samples.

These are usually small cut off’s from our own stock, however we may sometimes arrange to have the sample sent to you directly from the manufacturer.

We highly recommend you order a free sample first, as the screen may not show an accurate representation of the colour and design.

Please note: samples may vary slightly to the purchased carpet/vinyl because the flooring is manufactured in different dye batches.

How do I measure my room?

Measuring a room is simple. Simply measure the widest point of the room and longest point of the room using a tape measure. Remember to go into any bays and alcoves.

Unless stated otherwise, we recommend you add an extra 10cm for cut lengths.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes, all our prices include VAT. Our VAT number is: GB329851333. If you are a business you can claim back the VAT on your order.

When should I book a fitter?

We use third party couriers and they’re usually very reliable however, delays can occasionally occur and the order may not arrive on the day specified.

We would recommend to book a fitter once you have received the carpet or vinyl to avoid any disappointments.
